External Job DescriptionEaton Corporation located in Cleveland, OH has an opening for Manager – Security.

The Security Manager will be responsible for the development of the corporate security strategic vision, including: program development, program evaluation, executive protection, developing / approving security systems, using scorecards and progress indicators to measure program effectiveness of the entire corporation.

Although a corporate level role, the position requires direct interface, cooperation and planning with the four businesses within the Eaton portfolio. The Security Manager will report directly to the Director of Corporate Environment, Health, Safety and Security.

Candidate shall have a balance of industrial experience and law-enforcement/military. Experience of a combined 10-15 year range is the preferred candidate.

Experience with conducting and understanding security management in a vulnerability assessment culture is preferred. Investigative experience, white-collar crime and forensic investigations is a plus. Candidate must have the ability to construct a pre-prosecution brief either for civil or criminal type audience. Knowledge of federal agencies and their impact to present-day applications such as C-TPAT, etc. Field and security travel experience in Latin America, Asia and Europe is an important asset. Having worked with enforcement agencies abroad is preferred. Demonstrated high-communications (oral and written) skills is essential. Heavy generalist experience useful: contracts/national agreements; crisis management; event/executive protection; investigations; travel; security vulnerability assessments; awareness and training; physical and procedural security.

A Bachelor degree is required.
