You must become a member of ASIS International first, as ASIS International handles all membership processing and approval. Once approved, they will add you to the Cleveland Chapter Roster. The Cleveland Chapter Chair will be sent information that you have joined our chapter and you will receive your membership
certificate at the next local meeting AFTER we receive it. You can contact ASIS International through their website via this link [ www.asisonline.org ] or telephone them at 703-519-6200 - ask for Membership Services. ASIS International.  [ back to top ]

2A. Who do I contact about local questions or concerns?

Identify the officer or committee chairperson in the area most likely to match with your concern. The button, Contact Us! appears on most every page, but go here to view this now > Contact List If uncertain, contact an officer. Telephone and emails appear on that page. If it involves the website, contact the webmaster. [ back to top ]

3A. How can I register for local meetings? Can I bring guests?

Guests? Most certainly, and those with a real interest in security and security issues, as well as prospective members, are most applicable. You can register yourself as a member and those guests most easily by using the easy registration form, or you can email or telephone. For registration and contact info., go to Meeting Registration. See the easy registration form, and it clearly allows for registering your guests.

4A. How do I get my membership certificate, and when will I receive it?

After your membership certificate is received by our Chapter Chair, you'll be presented with this and welcomed to the chapter at the meeting following our receipt of it. Attend the meetings. 5A. How do I make sure I'm contacted about local meetings, events, news, newsletters, and so on?

You may keep up to date by returning to our website, and it's not a bad idea to bookmark the main page or add this to your favorites, or you can join the MemberList. Almost all communication is electronic, via email, to save costs. For information on the MemberList, go > Member ONLY Access [ back to top ]

6A. How is ASIS Cleveland organized and supported?

The ASIS Cleveland Chapter is entirely self-supporting through activities and programs, and through minimal local chapter dues billed per year. The local chapter receives no other financial support whatsoever. Dues, advertising in the newsletter, on the website, and by participation in local programs sustain all effort and existence of the chapter. Please feel free to contribute. Officers are elected annually, and committee chairs go to those interested and appointed by the Chair. [ back to top ]

14A. How do I obtain contact information for other members, look up organizations that members are associated with, or check how I'm listed?

ASIS Cleveland maintains an online membership directory where you can look up members by their last name, their organization, or all members in an organization. This is available in the Member Only website. All members with Cleveland Local Dues paid have access to this, and it is periodically updated, and available 24 hours a day. Every year to a year and a half we print a handy, pocket-sized, printed directory for easy access to resources - other members - also available only to members who have paid local dues.
